Based in Dublin, we operate two collection sites in the city: Station Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, which receives non-ferrous metals, and Pigeon House, Ringsend, Dublin 4, which receives ferrous metals. Our site in Ringsend also has a state of the art authorised treatment facility for depolluting end of life vehicles. In addition, we also have facilities in Athlone, Cork, Sligo, Derry, Portadown and Belfast. NB: We do not accept any hazardous or WEEE material eg: Wash Machines/Dishwashers/TV/PC, etc. ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle) Depollution: Hammond Lane operates state of the art ELV depollution facilities at its sites in Dublin (Ringsend), Cork and Athlone. The most modern and efficient SEDA double station depollution rigs are in use at each site with the capacity to depollute 20,000 vehicles per annum. Once again, Hammond Lane has set standards in the industry as we have been depolluting ELV for since 2003, 3 years before legislation was even in place. Hammond Lane ensures it meets all requirements of the End of Life Vehicle Regulation 2006. Collection Service - In addition to the above, our facilities across the country are equipped to receive and process any type of scrap material you may have. The following materials are accepted from domestic householders only: aluminium cans e.g. cola cans, beer cans; food tins/metal cans e.g. bean tins, biscuit tins; dog tins (remove foil); plastic bottles e.g. milk, mineral bottles (washed with no lid); Tetrapak cartons e.g milk, juice cartons; glass bottles e.g. green, brown, clear jars/bottles (sort by colour); newspapers/magazines eg. paper, junk mail, glossy magazines, comics; cardboard e.g. food boxes, cardboard packaging (clean dry only); solid timber only: old furniture, skirting board (remove bolts, hinges, glass) — NO chipboard, laminate, worktops or MDF; garden/green waste e.g. grass, hedge clippings (no clay or stones) — charges may apply for large amounts; flat glass e.g. window glass (remove all wood and frames); Polystyrene (household customers only); plastic bags; car batteries; household batteries; fluorescent tubes; waste oil (5 litre allowance per visit — €1 per litre thereafter); cooking oil (5 litre allowance per visit — €1 per litre thereafter); gas cylinders; large electrical household appliances; small electrical household appliances e.g. toasters, irons, radios, CD players (put in to small cages); televisions/computer monitors; scrap metal; clothes; mobile phones; compost; ink cartridges; gas cylinders; hazardous waste: household paint cans (full or empty), aerosol cans, herbicides & pesticides (household only).
