1. About these terms
These terms govern your access to and use of Man with a Van in Dublin & across Ireland., including its website, directory, quote-request tools and related services. By using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Our role as a marketplace
Man with a Van in Dublin & across Ireland. helps users discover and contact independent van, removal, delivery, storage and related service providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we are not the service provider, carrier, mover, employer, agent or insurer of any listed company or driver.
Any contract for transport, removal or another service is formed directly between the customer and the chosen provider. The provider is responsible for its quote, availability, performance, licensing, insurance, staff, vehicles, taxes and compliance with law.
3. Eligibility and permitted use
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract to submit a quote request, register a company or engage a provider. You may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
4. User obligations
When using the platform, you must:
- Provide accurate, current and complete contact, collection, destination, access and item information.
- Disclose unusual, fragile, hazardous, exceptionally heavy, high-value or restricted items before accepting a quote.
- Confirm the provider's price, scope, timing, cancellation terms and insurance directly before the work begins.
- Ensure lawful access to the collection and delivery locations and obtain any required parking or building permissions.
- Communicate respectfully and not misuse, scrape, interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.
- Not submit unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing, malicious or fraudulent content.
5. Provider obligations
Companies and drivers using or listed on the platform must keep their details accurate, hold all licences and insurance required for their work, comply with employment, consumer, transport, tax, safety and data-protection law, and provide services with reasonable skill and care. Providers must not misrepresent experience, availability, pricing, reviews or credentials.
6. Quotes, bookings and payment
Quotes are supplied by independent providers and may be estimates until the provider confirms the full requirements. Unless we expressly state otherwise, payments are arranged directly between the customer and provider. You should obtain written confirmation of the final price and any deposit, waiting-time, access, cancellation or additional-work charges.
Man with a Van in Dublin & across Ireland. does not guarantee that a quote request will receive a response, that a provider will be available, or that a quoted service will meet every requirement.
7. Listings, reviews and verification
Directory information may be supplied by providers or obtained from public and commercial sources. Badges, checks, ratings and reviews are intended to help users compare providers, but they are not a guarantee of future performance. Users remain responsible for carrying out checks appropriate to their move, including confirming identity, insurance and relevant experience.
We may moderate, refuse or remove listings, reviews or other content that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, unlawful, abusive, misleading or contrary to these terms.
8. Cancellations and disputes
Cancellation, refund and rescheduling rights relating to a removal or transport service are governed by the agreement between the customer and provider and by applicable consumer law. Users should first raise service disputes directly with the provider. We may assist with communication but are not obliged to decide disputes or pay refunds on a provider's behalf.
9. Platform availability
We aim to keep the platform available and accurate, but it may occasionally be interrupted, delayed or contain errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw features for maintenance, security, legal or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content is complete and current.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights under Irish consumer law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Man with a Van in Dublin & across Ireland. is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent providers; loss of or damage to goods while in a provider's custody; disputes about price, timing, cancellation or service quality; or indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.
Where we are legally liable, our responsibility will be limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable and directly caused by our breach. Users should maintain appropriate backups and insurance and take reasonable steps to limit loss.
11. Intellectual property
The platform's design, branding, software and original content are owned by or licensed to Man with a Van in Dublin & across Ireland. and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may use the platform for personal or internal business purposes but may not copy, resell, republish or systematically extract its content without permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and display it as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and improve the platform.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By submitting another person's details, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and have provided any required information to that person.
13. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access, remove content or suspend a listing where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or enforce these terms. Provisions intended to survive termination, including intellectual-property, liability and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The Irish courts will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will apply from the date shown on this page and, where appropriate, will be brought to registered users' attention.
